First known as The Madison Community Services Fund, MCS Inc was founded by a group of concerned citizens during the Great Depression to help their neighbors in need. Today, MCS Inc remains a private organization providing assistance to residents free of charge. 100% of funding is from private donations, without any town, state or federal funding.

Did you know that MCS Inc relies mostly on an all volunteer staff? Yes, this includes our president, our board of directors, our pantry staff and our program supporters.
What does this means to you? I guarantees that virtually every dollar donated is used to fund the direct assistance programs we provide to Madison residents in need. All of our services are free of charge to the recipient.
