Christine Basler is a retired Spanish teacher (Westbrook High School) and has volunteered for MCS in more than one role. She has served on our Board of Directors and also dedicates some of her free time to staffing our food pantry. She's married to George Basler, another one of our directors. They live in Madison and spend part of their year enjoying the Florida sunshine.

Madison Schools’ bus company, Durham School Services, recently held a “Stuff – A- Bus” food drive for the food pantry and got enough food to stuff the bus. Actually, they stuffed the bus with 2625 pounds of food! Thank you for such a great drive.
Continue readingMany thanks to St. Margaret Parish for this past Fathers’ Day weekend’s food drive. Over 3500 pounds were raised. The parishioners sorted, date checked and transported the food. It was done in record time. Great job Connie and Michael Piccione for organizing the event.

The Madison Women’s Club recently made a $500.00 donation to the MCS Food Pantry. Barbara De Rosa, one of our volunteers, and also, a member of the Women’s Club presented Mitchell Cohan with a check for the $500.00.
