Madison Community Services, Inc
First known as The Madison Community Services Fund, MCS was established during the Depression as a result of concerned citizens recognizing the financial need of others. Coining the phrase “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” MCS Inc. continues to provide assistance by providing both the funding and the volunteers to address three areas of concern:
• Special Assistance Programs: this includes, School Supply Assistance, Camp Scholarships, Youth Tutoring Program, and Holiday Food Baskets
• Medical Transportation: residents who are unable to make medical appointments due to lack of transportation are provided with a both a ride and the gentle encouragement that only a caring neighbor can provide
• Food Pantry: our volunteers stock the pantry shelves with close to 3,000 pounds of food and assist local residents as they choose from a variety of perishable and non perishable items. Madison Community Services, Inc. is proud to offer this service to over 100 families on a weekly basis.
